Moviestorm are honoured to be selected for the European Film Market and presenting to Producers at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival between 2 and 5 March 2021
It all started in mid December 2020 with a recommendation from Alex Stolz of the Future of Film to Karen Arikian of EFM Startups to check us out, and a hastily scheduled Zoom call and product demo a few days later that led to an invite to apply by 11 January 2021 to be featured at the event. Within weeks we had been confirmed as selected and were meeting with another nine great companies and getting organised.
As background, every year since 2015 EFM Startups selects ten leading tech entrepreneurs with cutting-edge products and ideas and introduces them to the film and media industry at the European Film Market. With the industry quickly changing, and even more so as a result of the pandemic, the EFM champions innovative companies with “skills and capabilities necessary to anticipate trends and to develop solutions that work across an evolving landscape”. FirstStage is certainly arriving in the market at the perfect time to support trends in virtual production and remote productive team working and welcome such heightened visibility within one of the top film markets in the world.
