Projects, Users and Scenes

Once you have a Moviestorm FirstStage license, set up your VR rig and installed the software, you can use FirstStage.

To get onto a set or stage, you will need to create one …

1. Projects

After you login, you will be presented with the Projects window, where you can select an existing Project, or create a new one.

1. Open a Project

1.1.1 Select Project window
  1. Click (or double-click) on an existing Project to highlight it
    This will launch the Project window.

2. Create a new Project

  1. Click on the Create button.
    This will launch the Create Project window.
  2. Enter the name of your new Project
  3. Click the tick to accept
    You will return to the Projects window where you can enter a Project.

3. Delete a Project

1.3.1 Remove Project button
  1. Open the Project you wish to delete
  2. At the bottom of the left hand pane, click the Remove Project button to open the Remove Project Confirmation window
  3. Click the tick button to confirm
    You will then return to the Scene window
  4. Click the cross button to cancel
    You will then return to the Project window

NB - If you are not the last User in the Project, it will stay available to the remaining Users.

2. Users

In a Project window, you can invite other users.

1. Add a User to a Project

2.1.1 Project window - Invite Users button
2.1.2 Invite Users window - Enter name
  1. At the bottom of the left hand pane, click on the Invite button to launch the Invite Users window
  2. Enter a name in the empty field provided
  3. Use the Plus (+) button to add another user field
  4. Click the Tick button to confirm

NB - During Closed Beta there are no company accounts, but you can invite any other FirstStage user with a license to join your project by adding their username.

3. Scenes

Inside Projects you can create and manage Scenes.

1. Enter a Scene

  1. Click on an existing Scene to highlight it.
    This will reveal it's details in the right hand pane.
  2. At the top of the right hand pane, click Enter to go on Stage.

2. Create a new Scene

3.2.2 Create new Scene window - Enter the name of your new Scene
3.2.3 Create new Scene window - Highlight a Set
  1. At the top of the left hand pane, click on the Create button
    This will launch the Create Scene window
  2. Enter the name of your new Scene
  3. Highlight a Set to use in your new Scene
  4. Click the tick to accept
    You will then return to the Project window.

3. Copy a Scene

3.3.3 Create new Scene window - Enter the name of your new Scene
  1. Click on an existing Scene to highlight it.
  2. At the top of the right hand pane, click Copy to open the Copy Scene window
  3. (Optional) Change the copied Scene's name
  4. (Optional) Change the copied scene's Project
  5. Click the tick button to confirm, or click the cross button to cancel
    You will then return to the Scene window

4. Delete a Scene

  1. Click on an existing Scene to highlight it.
    This will reveal it's details in the right hand pane.
  2. At the top of the right hand pane, click Delete to open the Delete Scene Confirmation window
  3. Click the tick button to confirm, or click the cross button to cancel
    You will then return to the Scene window
