Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) Policy and Action Plan

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, consultants, partners, and stakeholders involved with Moviestorm Limited. It governs our recruitment practices, working environment, service delivery, and interactions with the communities we serve.

Moviestorm Limited is committed to creating an environment where all individuals are valued and empowered. 2  Underpinning Legislation and Guidance

Moviestorm Limited’s EDI Policy is underpinned by:

  • UK Equality Act 2010: Ensuring compliance with legal obligations to eliminate discrimination and promote equality in the workplace and in public services.

3  Guiding Principles

  • Equality of Opportunity: We commit to fair treatment and the provision of equal opportunities for all, irrespective of background or ability.
  • Respect and Dignity: Every person is entitled to be treated with respect, courtesy, and consideration.
  • Inclusivity: We design our work environment and digital experiences to ensure that everyone can participate fully.

4  Responsibilities

  • Board and Senior Management:
    • Provide strategic oversight and ensure that sufficient resources are allocated to EDI initiatives.
    • Integrate EDI principles into decision-making processes and organisational planning.
    • Lead the implementation, monitoring, and periodic review of EDI initiatives.
    • Serve as a resource and point of contact for EDI matters.
    • Embed EDI principles in daily operations, recruitment, training, and performance management.
    • Foster an inclusive team culture where all voices are heard.
  • All Employees and Contractors:
    • Uphold the values of equality, diversity, and inclusivity.
    • Engage in EDI training and provide feedback to enhance our practices.

5  Implementation and Training

  • Recruitment and Talent Development:
    • Ensure that our hiring practices are fair and transparent, actively encouraging applications from underrepresented groups.
    • Provide career development and mentoring opportunities to support diverse talent.
  • Product Development:
    • Integrate accessible design principles from the outset of project planning and execution.
    • Regularly test and refine our digital products (e.g., metaverse interfaces) to ensure they are usable by all, including those with disabilities.
  • Training and Awareness:
    • Deliver ongoing EDI training for all employees to build awareness and equip them with the skills to promote an inclusive workplace.
    • Update training materials regularly to reflect current best practices and legislative requirements.
  • Communication:
    • Clearly communicate this policy and our EDI objectives through internal channels and public platforms.
    • Encourage open dialogue and feedback to identify areas for improvement.

6 Monitoring, Evaluation, and Review

  • Performance Metrics:
    • Develop and maintain an EDI dashboard that tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) such as workforce diversity, accessibility compliance, and community engagement.
  • Regular Audits and Reporting:
    • Conduct regular reviews and audits of our EDI practices and policies.
    • Publish an annual report on our EDI progress, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for further improvement.
  • Policy Review:
    • This policy is a living document that will be reviewed and updated annually, or as needed, to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
