Moviestorm Limited is a UK-based innovator in accessible 3D animated and immersive creative tools, empowering storytellers and educators alike, from amateurs to professionals.
Since 2003, we have helped over 500,000 filmmakers bring their stories to life with our pioneering desktop machinima tool, Filmmaker.
Building on this legacy, in 2019 we successfully led a major Horizon 2020 R&D project focused on natural user interfaces for creative production workflows in theatre, film, TV, and immersive learning. From this research, we developed FirstStage, an affordable, intuitive VR platform for collaborative previsualisation and immersive production.
FirstStage lets your whole creative or learning team, from directors and producers to educators and trainers, work together in real time on virtual sets or immersive scenarios. Teams can choreograph scenes, animate performances, operate virtual cameras, and prototype experiences that reduce risks and costs while expanding creative and educational possibilities within an engaging VR environment.
On top of FirstStage, we launched GameStorm, a VR-based game creation and sharing platform that invites everyone, no coding or artistic skills needed, to create and play original VR games instantly with friends.
